Here’s recapping today’s best UCLA links:

  • Sugar. Water. Cardinal. True Blue. Those are the ingredients. The blogging world at large has spoken: we want Cardinal and True Blue drink! The only thing stopping USC and UCLA from each sporting home jerseys at this year’s game is the NCAA and its rules — the visiting team (USC, in this case) would have to forfeit a time out in each half. The coaches initally thought it was just the first half, prompting Coach Neuheisel to say he would call an immediate timeout once the game kicked off. But two timeouts? Too much. Check out the jersey rules of some of the other major sport leagues a third of the way down this link.
  • So you think you can sing? I thought I could until two weeks ago when I did karoake for the first time. John Legend, if you’re reading this, I’m terribly sorry. It won’t happen again. … Actually it will. But UCLA is hosting auditions to sing the National Anthem at a home game. You also get eight free tickets.
  • Neuheisel also has not shied away from admonishing Ben Olson. Yes, admonish. I didn’t always know that word but picked it up about a year ago when I became more familiar with my Bible. Thanks, God.
  • Here are some extensive football notes courtesy of UCLA media relations. You’re welcome, UCLA.
