It seems every UCLA right tackle is injured at one time or another. Converted tight end Nate Chandler, who has been told he has a chance to be a starter, missed Wednesday’s practice with turf toe. His right foot was in a walking boot.
Chandler said offensive line coach Bob Palcic told him he would soon be rotating in with the first team, so he is anxious to return. He might practice Thursday evening.
“They want me to get in there as soon as possible,” Chandler said.
