UCLA has won the last five meetings between the schools and Oregon State hasn’t won at the Rose Bowl since 2000. The Bruins scored 40 unanswered points last year to win 40-14.
Oregon State coach Mike Riley has never beaten the Bruins at either stint with the Beavers or when he was an assistant at USC.
“The story I’m sticking to is it’s a new game, a new season and new teams playing,” Riley said. “There’s nothing about the stadium or venue. It’s mostly about UCLA playing better than the Beavers.”
Said UCLA senior cornerback Michael Norris, “We should continue that tradition. That’s how I feel.”
