UCLA’s best hope is for things to turn wacky like they did a year ago. Riley calls it the “Five-minute Nightmare,” the period in which the Bruins scored four fourth-quarter touchdowns in less than three minutes to pull away. Maybe there is some kind of curse on the Beavers at the Rose Bowl, but if they’re ever going to shake it, this looks like the year. The back-to-the-Rose Bowl train just keeps chugging along, at least for another week.
