The notion of switching quarterbacks now appears to be moot, because Ben Olson probably won’t be healthy enough to play this year and Chris Forcier has inspired little confidence, but I thought guard Scott Glicksberg had an interesting comment when I asked about it yesterday.
It reveals how teammates feel about Kevin Craft.
“He’s just the one giving us our plays, but Kevin definitely has a personality that brings us all together and we feel like we can get fired up around him,” Glicksberg said. “It’d be a change, but I don’t want to say our level of play would change.”

Great comment, I don’t question Craft’s heart, but his interceptions and lack of downfield throwing ability are concerns. I know when Ben Olson was replaced by Pat Cowan there was a surge of energy around the team, I don’t get any sense of energy with Craft back there. He has a couple good drives a game and the others are just disasters. I would love to hear Chow’s comments on Craft. Is it mental? Physical? Lack of knowledge of the playbook?
I agree, this was a great comment. The comment itself proves that statement wrong Happy4LA. The Olsen-Cowan move was a very different situation… The quote from Glicksberg also illustrates the way the team feels about the energy when Craft is in! So, it sounds to me like they are fired up and Craft still gives them the best chance to win. Unfortunately, there has been so much controversy surrounding the QB, but the entire offensive personnel is responsible. With our offensive line, Craft doesn’t even have the opportunity to let a play develop and throw a deep ball. It sounds like his team believes in him and he has shown game after game he will keep getting up after taking big hits! We need to be reminded, this is this coaching staff’s first year, it is going to be a transition still, Go Bruins, continue working!
