University of Washington quarterback Jake Locker remains questionable for Saturday’s game at the Rose Bowl.
Locker sustained a deep bruise in his right thigh in the Huskies’ Oct. 24 game against Oregon. The Huskies did not play last Saturday.
Locker remains optimistic that he’ll play, claiming that he “should be ready to go,” but Washington head coach Steve Sarkisian isn’t ready to make such a pronouncement.
Locker’s ability to run has been hampered by the injury and Sarkisian said that he didn’t want his quarterback to be a “sitting duck”. A lot of the Huskies’ offense revolves around the quarterback’s ability to run the ball.
If Locker is unable to play, Ronnie Fouch would most likely take his place.
Locker has run for 207 yards and thrown for 1,968 this season.
