UCLA basketball: Dragovic reinstated, will play against Portland in Thursday’s 76 Classic opener

November 25th, 2009, 10:19 am · 1 Comment · posted by Al Balderas, staff writer

UCLA forward Nikola Dragovic will be reinstated today and be on the court when the Bruins basketball team opens play at the 76 Classic on Thursday.

Dragovic missed the last two games because of a suspension stemming from his arrest last week. He was arrested and charged with felony assault.

He has not been cleared of the charges and is scheduled for arraignment on Dec. 21 but UCLA coach Ben Howland and school officials decided to go ahead and lift the suspension.

Howland said the decision to reinstate Dragovic was “based on the information we have right now and what we know about the situation.”

Dragovic was suspended prior to last Friday’s game against Cal State Bakersfield and has not practiced with the team since Thursday.

“I think he’s been doing some running and conditioning,” Howland said. “He was at practice on Sunday but not practicing.”

Oh my, what a beat down over in Anaheim. Portland handed it to westwood jc. The Pilots lead was at 30 for a while. It was so bad, the bruins basketball team looked as pathetic as USCs Football team against Oregon and Stanford.

The best was sitting and watching Dan Guerrero look on from his high and mighty seat next to the high school band. How fitting was that! The bruins couldn’t even beat the Mater Dei basketball team tonight.

Oh…it got better. The Cheer Squads had nothing to cheer about. The sad sound track was terrible. How could they hold their smiles while being PUMMELED by Portland.

Can’t wait until tomorrow! Butler is going to put another beat down on that pathetic basketball team. Maybe Drag can get busted tonight so he won’t have to play another pathetic game on Friday.

Do I hear an 8 CLAP? No…that’s the 8 Pilot fans clapping after a beautiful win over the storied basketball program.

Lavin was in the house doing the broadcast…Hey Dan, maybe you can get him back. Wasn’t he the last coach that won the title for you?

GO PILOTS!!! GO BULLDOGS!!! GO ANYONE THAT PLAYS westwood jc!!!
